Hard board lessons are aimed at progressive beginners/intermediates who have their own boards and are surfing reasonably regularly. To make the most out of the courses you would need to be catching waves regularly (even white water) and have a reasonable pop up.
On the regular hard board lessons we will focus on more intermediate surfing techniques such as effective paddling, wave knowledge and selection, take off and bottom tuning, trimming and duck diving. The courses also focus on etiquette which can be confusing to improver surfers going beyond the white water. We will also use video analysis to correct faults
One Day Courses
The courses run at 9.00am or 4pm on Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. Times may be subject to change closer to the time depending on conditions. You can bring along your own board or try out one of the boards in our test drive centre. If you are thinking of changing boards you can try one of ours and get advice from the instructor on what might suit you. A lesson costs €40pp with a maximum of 6 people in a group.
