Beaches
There are plenty of beaches in the area that are good for all types of water sports, such as swimming, windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving.

The main beach in Bundoran has been popular for over 100 years, and is patrolled by lifeguards in the summer.

Tullan is best for surfing but has no lifeguards.  Plenty of peaks down the beach - walk a little and you will find a break of your own.

Rossnowlagh is five miles from Ballyshannon and is well known as a good beach for surfing, swimming and kitesurfing.  Lifeguards in summer.  Zoned for different uses.

Murvagh beach is located two miles off the Donegal Town road between Ballintra and Laghey.  Quiet, safe beach with no waves.  Great spot to learn kitesurfing.  Lifeguards in summer.

Mullaghmore beach is a calm, family beach with lifeguards.  Home to a sailing club where one can take courses in learning to sail.

Streedagh beach is located two miles from Grange village.  Possibly the nicest beach in the area there is something for everyone here - plenty of empty waves, lagoon for kite sports at high and low tide, and great walking.  Lifeguards at weekends in summer.
