If you and a few friends want to chill out in Bundoran after your exams then we have a few options.

2 nights B&B and 2 surf lessons €80pps

Based on B&B in shared rooms in Bundoran Surf Lodge and all equipment for surf lessons.
Twin and double rooms available at extra cost of €5pps per night.

There is plenty of night life in Bundoran with cinemas, pubs, restaurants and leisure centres. You can come by Bus Eireann from Dublin or Galway and you wont need a car. There is also a bike hire beside us if you want to explore the area. The Lodge has a kitchen and dining room for meals and there are 2 supermarkets in town. We also have a BBQ that is free to use.

June 16th to June 21st, and June 24th and June 28th.

Soul Surfers Yoga Weekends

Catch some waves, meet new people, relax and unwind with Yoga Light. We have teamed up with Laoise from Yoga Light to offer surf and yoga weeknds in 2013. The weekends encourage deep breathing and dynamic stretching, as well as strengthening the core. We also aim to improve your surfing skills and flexiblity, and relax your body and mind.

The weekend consists of meeting up on Friday night at approx 10pm for wine and cheese. On Saturday we normally have a yoga session in the morning, followed by a surf session in the afternoon. On the sunday you can choose to do either a yoga session or a surf lesson, or both. We have various optipons listed here:

Algarve Surf Trip

We are now taking bookings for our Winter surf trip to the Algarve in Portugal. We will be there from the 9th to the 16th of November .The trip costs €395 and includes everything below. Both Ryan Air and Aerlingus fly to Faro which is the closest airport. We will have lessons available for beginners but will also have guiding/video anlysis available for those who are beyond beginner standard. Facebook photos of last years trip here

Typical day at the Algarve surf trip

The day at the Algarve Surf School & Camp begin around 9 am with some chilled music to wake you up. After you make your way downstairs, you will find a breakfast to revive you after the last night and prepare you for a day of surfing.

Fresh rolls from the bakery, cereals, fruit, coffee and tea for your breakfast, and ham, cheese, salad and sauces for you to make a sandwich for the beach. After breakfast, around 10am we will pack our stuff together, load the surf boards on the Jeep, and drive you down to the beach. Usually this will be Praia do Amado, but we have the independence to choose from plenty of other spots nearby if the conditions are better elsewhere.

After the morning lesson, it’s time to relax your muscles and minds from surfing. Chill out at the beach, take your lunch, or have a nap to regather your energy for the afternoon session. In the afternoon there will be another 1h30 surf lesson.

In the afternoon we will all meet up for dinner/BBQ etc and a bit of craic/banter. We will run at least 2 evenings of video anlysis during the trip.

Midweek Surf and Stay Special Offer

If you have free time during the week we have some great midweek special offers for April, May and June. Mid week the surf tends to be quieter and it can be a great time to get uncrowded waves. We have a few different mid week deals to suit all levels of surfers. These midweek specials are available until June 20th 2013.

Option 1: B&B for 3 nights in Surf Lodge and 2 surf lessons
Stay for any 3 nights between Sunday and Thursday and only pay for 2. Do 2 surf lessons and get the second half price
Only €95pps for 3 nights B&B in twin/double room and 2 surf lessons with all equipment included.
Based on 2 people sharing.
Suitable for beginner and improver surfers.

Option 2: B&B for 5 nights and board/suit rental
Sunday to Thursday 5 nights accommodation for the price of 4
€80pps in dorms and €100pps in private rooms (private rooms based on 2 people sharing)
5 days board and wetsuit rental for €40.
Thats 5 nights accommodation and 5 days board rental from €120pps.

School Tours/Transition year

We have lots of new packages for school tours for 2013. We can offer everything from a one off surf lesson to a combination of activities or residential packages. We normally customize our packages to each schools needs so it is best to email us at info@bundoransurfco.com for more info. Surfing is our main activity but we can arrange cliff diving, beach sports, team games and climbing as well as evening activities such as bowling/cinema. We feel surfing is a great activity for school groups as not only does it combine a fun sporty activity it can help teach water safety. All our prices include transfers to beach, equipment rental and tution from our school which is ISA registered.

We can arrange classrooms if a group wishes to make the trip educational or can arrange group tours to lifeboat station/coastal walks or history tours. Below is a basic price guideline

Surf Lesson and beach sports

This package involves team games/beach sports with a surf lesson €30 per child with teachers/leaders free

Junior Surf School

During Easter and the summer months we run a kids surf camp, Monday to Friday, 9.30am-12.30pm. The ages are normally 10-16, but 8 and 9 year old kids are welcome kids if they are accompanied by a guardian, to ensure they are comfortable in the water and in case they need help with wetsuits and boards. Our instructors are on hand at all times. We ask that parents/guardians of all kids fill out a parental consent form for the surf lessons.

One lesson €20, Two lessons €40, Three €55, Four €70, Five days (in the one week) €85.
All boards, wetsuits and instruction included in price.
Also includes transport to and from beach, changing faciliites, hot showers, hot drink and snack.
We use 4/3mm suits in summer and 5/4/3mm suits in winter (no 3/2mm suits here!)

We also offer surf lessons in the Portnoo/Ardara area during July and August. Tramore beach between Ardara and Portnoo is the main location for lessons as it picks up even the smallest swells. Kids lessons in the mornings at 10am. Afternoon lessons for all at 2pm. All boards, wetsuits and instruction provided. Adult lessons also.

We are also running a White Water Surf Skills Award, which has been developed by the Irish Surfing Association. The Surf Skills Awards allow each surfer to see their progress through six levels and gain certs to show family and friends. Surfers start off with the White Water Award, which covers the fundamentals of surfing and can be done in our Junior Surf Camp, and costs an extra €10.

Our lessons are fun yet progressive in a secure environment, with experienced and qualified instructors. We use soft boards for our beginner lessons, but as kids progress we can get them to try other boards to improve their skills and they can join the Junior Academy. Our kids camps are open to all kids – they can choose if they would like to go for the ISA Awards or not.
